Meet Our Doctors at Animal Clinic East!
Dr. Fazzari is a Washington native and received her DVM at Washington State University in 1985. She began practicing at our clinic that year and is now one of the practice owners. Her area of specialty is small animal medicine, where she displays her passion for animals and the clients that bring them to our clinic. Susan is an extreme multi-tasker who juggles many balls successfully. She and her husband Greg have four children. She is very involved in their activities outside of work, including basketball, baseball,snow skiing, soccer, church, lots of homework and school activities. In addition, she is a 4H leader and board member emeritus of the Blue Mountain Humane Society. Her menagerie of animals includes two dogs, one cat, five sheep, lots of 4H lambs, two llamas, two map turtles and two beloved tortoises (who sometimes hibernate in the basement of our grooming center!)
Dr. Ladderud is a native of Washington and graduated from Washington State University in 1988. He joined the Animal Clinic that year. In 1990 he bought in as a partner. His primary areas of interest are surgery (he is our orthopedic specialist) and small animal medicine. John and his wife, Ruth, have three children, one dog and three cats. Keeping things interesting, the Ladderud family often has an international student living with them. John likes to laugh and is always cracking corny jokes that make the staff groan and smile at the same time. Outside of work John enjoys woodworking, basketball, bike riding, fishing, boating and spending time with his family.
Dr. Williams graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 and immediately began working at our clinic. Brian and his wife Jenny are originally from the Walla Walla Valley and are glad to have returned to make their home here. In 2013, Brian became one of the practice owners. He & Jenny have two beautiful daughters, Emma and Ellie. In his spare time, Brian enjoys reading, archery, and skiing.
Claudia was born in Valencia, Spain and says she is from 'all over.' She is fluent in both spanish and english and graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. She began working at our clinic in September of 2016. Her pets are her kids (for now). She and her husband Ben have Moose (a german shepherd) Luna (a catahoula) Odie (a terrier mix) and two cats - Shade and Pebbles. Claudia enjoys the outdoors. She likes camping, hiking, backpacking, running, reading, and last but not least traveling. We are very happy to be able to add her to our extraordinary veterinary team.
Dr. Jessie Lentz is from Marsing, Idaho. She received her undergraduate degree from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa and graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Her area of specialty is Preventative Care, Soft Tissue Surgery, Behavior Modification, and Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Lentz enjoys living in the Walla Walla valley. She likes to explore the mountains for deer sheds, mushrooms, huckleberries, and much more. Gardening and knitting are some of her other hobbies. Jessie is very compassionate and loves helping animals. She has two dogs named Havala and Sequioa, poison dart frogs, fish and a horse named Whiskey.
