LABORATORY SERVICES

Our laboratory is an important part of our preventive, diagnostic, and maintenance programs. We have an in-house lab, and more extensive lab support through IDEXX Laboratories, Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, and others.

SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT

Specialized equipment is integral to providing quality medical care. We make sure our equipment is functioning properly and well maintained. Essential equipment includes:

 

  • Intravenous Fluid Pumps
  • Digital X-Ray machine for a look under the skin
  • Piezo dental scaler for removing tartar from teeth
  • Blood Chemistry Machine: to analyze blood
  • Ultrasound Machine: for a look at inner organs
  • Pulse Oximeters, to monitor patient during anesthesia
  • Otoscope: to examine the inner ear
  • Direct Ophthalmoscope: for extensive eye exams
  • Ophthalmic Tonometer: to determine pressure inside of the eye
  • Blood Pressure Machine to check for hypertension
  • In House Cytology Diagnostics

SURGICAL SERVICES

Our veterinarians are well-trained and experienced in surgical procedures. In fact, between them they have over 100 years of surgical experience! We value continuing education highly in our clinics, and our veterinarians attend annual conferences to keep up on the latest trends, development, and techniques in veterinary medicine.

If a procedure is beyond our capability, or needs special diagnostic procedures such as CT scanning or MRI, we quickly refer your pet to a network of specialists including the W.S.U. Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Pullman, Washington. Our surgery rooms are completely equipped with an extensive array of surgical instruments, monitoring equipment, anesthesia machines, heated pads, sterilization equipment, cautery units, and a wide variety of suture material.

  • Dental Cleanings, Routine Dentistry, & Oral Surgery

Our pharmacy is well-stocked with the latest or most effective medications used to treat your animal’s medical condition. If we don’t carry the specialty pharmaceuticals you need, we work with veterinary compounding pharmacies that will create what your pet needs.
